How much does it cost?
£15 per year for regular membership (18 – 65yrs incl)
£10 per year for those over the state pension age (currently 66)

Although membership is usually done through British Cycling you do not have to be a member of British Cycling to join. You will need third party liability insurance to group ride. British Cycling Membership offers this insurance within their membership but also many household insurance policies cover this too. Please do check with them. There are also other cycle insurance club policies too such as LAKA for just £1.50 per month.

What do I need?
A Road worthy bicycle with drop handle bars and mudguards for winter rides (there are some exceptions to this so please enquire)
Helmet (compulsory for all rides).
Rain jacket (for wet rides).
Puncture kit with tyre levers, inner tube and pump or CO2 canisters
Water bottle and a payment method for the coffee stop for Sunday rides.
Mobile phone and ICE details (In Case of Emergency).
Third party liability insurance (waived for the first two trial club rides before you join).

What are the benefits?
Weekly club rides (whatever the weather within reason!) with experienced ride leaders and the opportunity to improve fitness, group riding skills and road craft.
Weekly News email, with forthcoming rides, rider reports and other items of interest.
Team kit at affordable prices if you want to look the part and often subsidies for members
Social events during the year, committee meetings and annual awards dinner.
Reduced cost of *British Cycling membership for the first year (*optional)

How do I join?
We suggest that you come along for a couple of group rides before you join to see which pace group is best for you and if you enjoy the rides (and the company!)

We allow and encourage E-bikes for those needing an extra bit of help.

The easiest way to join the club is through the Clubs page of the British Cycling website (you don’t need to be a member). There is an administration fee of £1. We can accept cheques made payable to Shipston Cycling Club or bank transfer too – just send us a message with your details and we will give you the bank details.

Data Protection
All new Members joining the Club will have their basic data stored by the Club Secretary for use in the organisation and distribution of information necessary to the running of the Club. By joining the Club you are consenting for your basic data to be used as above. You can unsubscribe to newsletters if you prefer. We also have a group whatsapp chat to inform you the latest live information of specific ride details.
